Diabetes self-management classes are provided on a monthly basis by the Jennie Edmundson Hospital Diabetes Services Department for patients who have been recently diagnosed with diabetes or those who have had the disease for a number of years. Individual appointments also can be made with a diabetes educator or dietician to meet each patient's individual needs.

Gestational Diabetes Program

The Jennie Edmundson Hospital Gestational Diabetes Program provides an individualized education program that includes:

• Certified Diabetes Educator who is a registered nurse
• Registered dietitian
• Other health care providers as needed
• Educational materials
• Blood glucose monitor loan program
